Perseids 2021 @ GMN

Posted on August 20, 2021February 3, 2022

This year, the traditional Perseids rain was captured using 8 GMN cameras from my sites.

I captured thousands of meteors.

It was a really great year for captures, the weather was not perfect but due the high number of cameras the number of traces was really great.

At the peak, on August 12th, I captured more than a thousand meteors, only that night.

This number results in a resolution of 248 meteors only for that night!!

And (it’s a big number too) in the first two weeks of the current month more that 1.100 solved!!

It’s obvious looking this map: I need to add two more stations to cover all area around 😀 (pointing S-E)

I am really happy with these stations and I really want to “evangelize” about creating more stations.

I leave here some pictures of this nice night, please contact me if you want to add one station to this network .
